В развитие темы о научной периферии. Если Вы из откуда-то там далеко на восток (см. географию ниже) имеете законченное первичное высшее образование (т.е. a degree equivalent to a Master of Arts (M.A.)) и официально продолжаете свое научное развитие в отличие от заведующего Российской Академией Наук академика Осипова владеете международным языком науки и, желательно, им пользуетесь в своей работе имеете интерес пожить и поработать полгодика в Европе, и т.д., детали по ссылке внизу, то Вам может оказаться небезынтересным следующее предложение от Фонда Прохорова:
The Mikhail Prokhorov Foundation and the Institute for Human Sciences (IWM), Vienna/Austria, jointly announce a CALL FOR APPLICATIONS Alexander Herzen Fellowships 2011-12 Deadline for application: 30 April 2011 Objective With the generous support of the Mikhail Prokhorov Foundation the Institute for Human Sciences (IWM, Vienna, Austria) established the Alexander Herzen Junior Visiting Fellowship program in the Humanities and Social Sciences for young researchers from the Siberian, Ural and Far-Eastern federal districts. The aim of the program is to provide new opportunities to young researches from diverse academic, cultural and social backgrounds, coming from various geographical regions; to support highly qualified and promising young researchers, giving them access to an international and multidisciplinary research community as well as an excellent infrastructure for their work; to offer a highly fertile ground for the individual development of researchers and their professional advancement; and to strengthen academic mobility and the integration of young academics from these regions into the international research community, thus enabling them to broaden their network of professional contacts. Alexander Herzen Junior Visiting Fellows will be selected on the basis of an open competition. They will work “in residence” at the IWM in Vienna, Austria, for six months as members of the Institute’s international, multidisciplinary community of junior and senior scholars. During this term they will pursue their individual research projects.

Дальше по тексту они описывают свои научные приоритеты, и история психологии per se там не числится. Тем не менее, если Вас занимают вопросы, скажем, в духе недавнего исследования изоляционизма советской науки, или, скажем, клинической истории христианизации постсоветской российской психологии в глобальном контексте, то разделы United Europe - Divided History; Cultures and Institutions: Central and Eastern Europe in a Global Context и, соответственно, Religion and Secularism, как мне кажется, вполне Вам подойдут. К слову, там у них еще целый мешок всяких других Fellowships имеется, не только для Дальнего Востока, порыться можно здесь.
