After our conversation about Soviet decrees, pedology, psychology and so on, I was motivated to try understand better Vygotsky's professional trajectory, and I think to begin finding actual names of the institutions in that he worked, in order to try later search more about the nature of the own institutions in that historical-cultural context. I began with data from Vigodskaia and Lifanova about Gomel's period since 1919 - with city's liberation from German occupation, and establishment of Soviet power... And they made a list with 11 main places in that Vygotsky worked (see below). But, unhappily, I have only the English version of that work, then I though if somebody here could please help me to know, at least, the Russian names of it. Then I will try to find something in the internet sources... If not, there is no problem too. In future I must order the Russian: Лев Семенович Выготский: Жизнь. Деятельность. Штрихи к портрету. But for some months I will have not resources to do this.

1. First Soviet worker's school - Russian language an literature.
2. Teachers' college - logic and psychology (general, child, educational, and experimental)
3. The Vocational School for Printers (Russian language and literature).
4. The Vocational School for Steel and Metalworkers (Russian language and literature).
5. Evening courses in the Provincial Political Educational School - Russian language and literature.
6. Courses in Soviet upbring * (for preschool teachers) - logic and psychology.
7. Summer courses in retraining teachers * - logic and psychology
8. Worker's courses *- Russian language and literature.
9. Courses for rural cultural workers * - aesthetics.
10. Public conservatory - aesthetics, the theory of art, introduction to philosophy.
11. Organizer of a Department o Psycholgogy, ** and pemanent lecturer and consulant on questions of psychology."

Recently, I made some changes in the Russian wikipedia article on Vygotsky (http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%92%D1%8B%D0%B3%D0%BE%D1%82%D1%81%D0%BA%D0%B8%D0%B9,_%D0%9B%D0%B5%D0%B2_%D0%A1%D0%B5%D0%BC%D1%91%D0%BD%D0%BE%D0%B2%D0%B8%D1%87), specifically, the initial part, i.e. the one on Vygotsky's jobs. Pls, feel free to have a look. Let's discuss it, if you feel like that.
